Lubavitcher Yeshiva Simcha hall, arguably the most popular venue for L’Chaims and Bris Milahs in Crown Heights, is being renovated.
The owners are said to be “investing heavily” to make sure the most frequently used simcha hall in the community looks befitting.
Over the past week a team of painters have been working round the clock; decorating the walls and meticulously painting every detail to make it look its finest.
Early Wednesday morning, workers began ripping out the floor and installing a brand new one.
There are also plans to redo the ceiling in the very near future, they said.
what will they do with those doors! shheesh those doors have seen so much…but i think its time for them to go. im happy theyre giving lubav. yeshiva a revamp! cant wait to see the finished product 🙂 hope they get the ceiling!
Thank you for putting things into perspective. Looks like some people needed your clarification.
Well said!
Whew…no event is innocent. A maelstrom over renovations. Wish them hatzlachah, as I do, if you have ideas, don’t conmplain voice them to the right people. And if you only have negativity in you, that’s sad.
I think some people here are missing the point. This is not a simcha company, we are discussing. This is a school. They have made they’re “GYM” or ball playing court, available in the evenings for Simchas and special events. First people complain tuition is too high, the school invests in another way to bring in money, so the school can continue running normally and still keep tuition down. Now people are complaining about the brick walls?? it is a GYM!!! If they put up any other type of walls, they’d be trashed in no time, with boys playing ball.… Read more »
please fix the air con
A brick wall is still a brick wall
such a shame that uly is putting so much money into the hall and the one thing that would make the biggest difference is being left out.
good job but do it right. its about time crown heights had some nice halls
Actually the pictures do not do credit to the walls. They have been painted a very attractice mauve color that will go very well with potted plants that people hire for simchas. That goes a long way to disguise (as best as can be) the brick walls and the hall now has a very attractive look.
THE UGLY ugly ugly brick walls, like a bomb shelter we just painted over. hahaha
hahaha
I love 770, and CH… not so much. Kleine Kop
disgusting comments…. 🙁
and yes keep the price down or ill make my lechaim in beis levi yitzchok!
When you give cinder blocks stripes, it just makes the place ….look more like a cell!
Can you cover the Ugly GYm brick walls with a nice fine stucco coating?
good job but dont forget the ceiling
Competition, people! That’s why they’re doing it. It is a dirty disgrace…I was wondering where I’d make my next Simcha & ULY wasn’t even on the bottom of the list.
Just wait, they’ll hike up the price of rental big time. Oh & when they do the renovations are they going to get decent, clean chairs & a Mechitza that isn’t broken?
is a real hero
they put back up that ugly old sighn they have to put up sheet rock and wallpaper thoes ugly walls any how good luck with all your renovations
