An inspiring Farbrengen in honor of Chof Av, the Yom hahilula of the Rebbe‘s father, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneerson obm, took place Monday night at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok Shul in Crown Heights.
A large crowd of 100 people gathered at the Shul on Kingston Avenue for the Farbrengen which was led by Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Paltiel.
Rabbi Paltiel spoke for almost 4 hours about the Rebbe’s father and his life of Mesiras Nefesh.
Rabbi Paltiel related how the Rebbe Rashab wanted him to be the rov of the Yekatrinaslav, and told many stories about the Rabbonus and genius of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok, and his way of learning.
He also spoke about the close connection between the Rebbe and his father, as well as the Rebbe’s immense respect for both his mother and his father, stating that the lesson that we, as Chasidim, take from Chof Av is the importance of keeping the precious Mitzvah of Kibud Av Va’em without any conditions.
The crowd left inspired and uplifted, with many lessons learned from the farbrengen.
