The sound of gunshots rang out near Rutland Park in Crown Heights on Thursday, as many families were outdoors enjoying the sunny weather.
Police and Shomrim alerted that they received a call regarding shots fired around Rutland Park.
They responded to the incident, checking within the park and the surrounding area.
When they arrived, the alleged perp and victim were already gone, police said.
Shomrim volunteers reported they checked on all the women and children who were in the area at the time to make sure all were unharmed.
The police are investigating.
