Shops to Hold “Kids Fun Day”

There’s an outing planned for parents and children in Crown Heights, a day after they celebrate the giving of the Torah by davening in shul and enjoying dairy meals at home.

The special “Kids Fun Day” will be held on Friday, the day after Shavuos, on the block of Montgomery Street, between Kingston and Brooklyn Avenues, from 12noon until 4:00pm.

This exciting day was organized by Dovid Hershkowitz and Yossi Rogatsky, owners of Sushi Spot II on Kingston Avenue.

It will be offered free of charge thanks to Crown Heights store owners and vendors who have teamed up with Hershkowitz and Rogatsky. Bounce houses, balloon sculptures, free toys and more will be on hand for kids to enjoy.

For parents, it will be an opportunity to take the children outdoors and have them soak in the sun, in a safe and friendly environment, while learning more about local shops.

“We were looking for a way to give back to the community, to thank them for patronizing local businesses,” Hershkowitz told COLlive. “We thought, this is a great way to bring the community together for a day of fun and excitement, especially as there is no school.”
