Singers Shmueli Ungar and Ohad have sung together many times at weddings, but here in America and in Israel. Often they would talk about singing together on a track. Last year Ohad and Shmueli decided to finally make that happen. They went through many songs, but nothing felt right.
Then along came “Bar Ilu”, composed by the talent behind so many new hits in Jewish Music, Heshy Weinberger. The song was composed 3 years ago, and sat on the shelf. Finally, in an unusual move, Shmueli started singing this song live at weddings. Without any introduction, a new song was being used at Simchas. The crowd would respond very positively and many started asking for this song to be released as an official song.
During one conversation between Ohad and Shmueli, Shmueli sent Ohad this song and in an instant they decided, this is the perfect song!
After Shmueli sent Ohad this song, he asked for the track without vocals, and within 24 hours Ohad sent back his vocals. He was very excited, and the song shows that energy.
This Lebediga duet wedding single is being put out in honor of Shmueli’s brother Shulom Lechvod his wedding.
Mazel Tov to Shmueli Ungar’s brother, Shulom wishing you and Miriam a lifetime of joy and happiness till the 120.
