R’ Shmuel (Sam) Feiglin of Melbourne, Australia, passed away Monday night – Tisha B’Av.
He was 89.
Shmuel was the youngest of 7 sons and 3 daughters of Moshe Zalman and Leah Feiglin, who were the first Lubavitch family to settle in Australia, arriving in the Melbourne suburb of Shepparton in 1910.
He is survived by his wife, Faye and children: Mrs. Leah Gurary – Monsey, NY, Rabbi Mordechai Feiglin – Melbourne, Mrs. Juli Ekman – Melbourne and Mrs. Gila Slonim – Israel.
He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Sara Belfer and brother Mr. Aaron Feiglin.
The Levaya took place on Tisha B’Av in Melbourne.

His oldest brother Avrohom a”h, grandfather of Meir Gutnick and brothers. He had his barmitzvah in Australia in 1912. His other famous grandson: MK Moshe Feiglin.
Dovid a”h (Dave, president of the mosdos for years) founded Bais Rivka under the direct (face to face) instructions of the Rebbe.
His oldest sister was Tzipporah Kaploun a”h, mother of Uri and Yaakov Kaploun.
Shulamis Kantor a”h, mother of her own dynasty.
Mottel,, I used to often see your father next to you daven in Ohel Devorah. As the people who commented above, he really was a fine individual with a welcoming smile.
