The vehicle of the Chabad Shluchim in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, was involved in a car accident in the Carpathian region of Ukraine on Wednesday.
Rabbi Mendy and Peri Glitzenstein were making their way home from Budapest in Hungary to the Jewish community they have been leading.
As they returned to town, their vehicle flipped over in a collision. They were evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Rabbi Glitzenstein suffered a shoulder fracture, Mrs. Glitzenstein and their daughter were left with cuts and bruises. Their condition is not severe and they are expected to be discharged on Thursday.
The Glitzenstein family was one of the first of the Shluchim to return to the country since the Russian war broke out and have been devoted to keeping their community alive.
