Camp Gan Israel of Detroit’s new traveling camp for teens will feature several Shluchim and Shluchos who will travel along with the camp and provide inspiration, learning experiences and Farbrengens.

The camp has also announced their counselors, who include Rivky Katz – Buffalo Grove, IL, Chana Shmotkin, and Chaya Glitsenstein – Tel Aviv.
The camp is being launched this summer for girls completing 10th Grade and will be based out of the Camp Gan Israel campsite in Kalkaska, Michigan. The girls will be traveling throughout scenic Northern Michigan, enjoying the beautiful sights in the area, and staying in different resorts.
“The program was created due to great demand and many requests for a Chasidish and fun program for High School girls of this age,” says Camp Director Simi Shemtov.
The camp will also be enjoying outdoor sports and trips in the area, and will be returning to the campgrounds every few days.
Accompanying the camp will be a team of dedicated staff members as well as different shluchim alternating during the trip.
Besides touring the beautiful upper peninsula, various islands and delving into loads of adventures, campers will have a hands-on experience on what it’s like being on Shlichus in such places guided by the shluchim who are accompanying the trip.
Trips include parasailing, kayaking through picture rocks, water activities in Mackinaw Island, horseback riding in Marquette, a Shabbaton in Charlevoix, and much more. It is sure to be a summer to remember.
The camp will run from August 3 – 23.
