Dear Chabad community,
As we try to find our way through the unimaginable pain of losing our dear Etty (אסתר גיטל ע”ה בת ר’ שלום דובער הכהן), we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the unwavering support and love we have received from all of you. Your acts of kindness — the prayers, the phone calls, the warm meals, the charity campaign, and even the simple words of comfort — have meant the world to us. Every gesture, big or small, has been a lifeline, reminding us that we are not alone in this journey.
The words of the Tzemach Tzedek echo in our hearts: “The unity of Chassidim will help them overcome until Moshiach comes.” In the darkest of times, we have seen firsthand how the bond of brotherhood and sisterhood among Chassidim brings strength and resilience. Your support has been a source of light for us, helping us navigate this heart-wrenching loss. The unity and love within our community is not just comforting; it is transformative.
We can feel the truth of those words more than ever. The love you’ve shown us has sustained us, and we are confident that it will help us carry on, until the day we are all united in joy with the coming of Moshiach.
We are profoundly grateful to the individuals and organizations who ensured that Etty’s passing was handled with dignity and compassion, especially during the most difficult moments. A sincere thank you to Chesed Shel Emes for their unwavering dedication in ensuring a dignified Kevuras Yisroel, even when challenges arose. Our heartfelt thanks to the Lubavitcher Lawyers for their generous pro bono support, and to the Long Island Shluchim who were quick to lend a hand, no questions asked. We are deeply moved by the Chevrah Kadisha for their tender care, and to Merkos Linyonei Chinuch, led by Mendy Kotlarsky, for their presence and support during this time.
From the depths of our hearts, thank you all. May Hashem bless each of you with the same kindness and support you’ve shown us, and may the unity we experience today bring Moshiach to us all.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Shalom and Rochel Leah Lipszyc
