In honor of 25 Adar, the birthday of the Rebbetzin and the day the Rebbe established mivtzah yom holedes, The Shluchim Office has launched a new initiative that allows Young Shluchim to celebrate their birthdays together.
28 years ago, on the day that marked the first birthday of the Rebbetzin after her passing on 22 shevat just over a month earlier, the Rebbe established a birthday celebration campaign in her memory. Like today, that year was also a Hakhel year.
Today, in honor of 25 Adar, Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim (CYH), a division of The Shluchim Office, launched a new platform that allows for birthday celebrations in a truly global manner.
Besides for interactive online farbrengen with hachlatos, torah, tefillah and tzedakah, the new initiative provides young shluchim with access to a personalized database system where they can send and receive birthday messages. By logging in to the Young Shluchim Website at ShluchimKids.Org, each child receives excluding access to a list of all the young shluchim whose birthdays are taking pace that day, as well as a secure method of sending and receiving birthday messages to old friends and new friends.
“In addition to enhancing and making new friendships between Young Shluchim, we are providing them an opportunity to fulfil a special horah of the Rebbe in honor of the Rebbetzin,” said Rabbi Gedalya Shemtov, director of The Shluchim Office.
The Young Shluchim website, ShluchimKids.Org provides many exciting programs and projects for all young shluchim.
Love that the names of all shluchim kids are available for each other to contact!
