Please welcome the Shluchim to Eretz Yisroel… who are currently in Eretz Yisroel.
Tzeirei Agudas Chabad of Israel, the Lubavitch Youth Organization known as “Tzach” which oversees Chabad centers in the Holy Land, issued a travel recommendation for Shluchim.
They wrote that because of the current war against neighboring Arab enemies, there is uncertainty about “what may develop in the coming days and weeks, and there isn’t one who can give a clear answer.”
Therefore, they recommended that Shluchim don’t travel to New York to attend the International Kinus Hashluchim, the annual gathering that brings together 5,000 Chabad rabbis for discussions, study and celebration.
The Kinus is set to begin in Brooklyn on Wednesday, Cheshvan 24 – November 8 and will conclude with the gala banquet in New Jersey on Sunday.
“It is more correct for all Shluchim to remain in their Shlichus location, to continue in their ongoing and unique operations and be available and supportive of their communities and members, as well as remain close to their families,” wrote Rabbi Naftali Lipsker of Tzach.
In the past, when Israel was at war, Rabbi Yechezkel Soffer asked the Rebbe about leaving the country to a lecture tour. The Rebbe’s response was: “The time isn’t right to leave from the Holy Land.”
Rabbi Lipsker added that the images of hundreds of Shluchim leaving the country would send a negative message, as opposed to all those who are boarding flights to Israel to enlist, volunteer and show support.
He said that in consultation with Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, organizer of the Kinus in New York, a parallel gathering will be held in Israel. It will be held on Sunday at the same time as the banquet in New York.

Perhaps consider making the entire kinus in Eretz Yisroel. The whole world of Shluchim go to Israel. So many positive angles from that. And since this is an unprecedented situation and there’s nothing to look to into the Rebbe’s previous directives, one is free to summon one’s Rebbe within (including and especially current policy makers and rabbinic advisors and mashpiyim). And if one wonders – what about the presumed plans already made and in place for the kinnus to take place here in NY? Well – Just as you can suggest someone who made plans to come to NY, to… Read more »
The point of the kinus is to go to the rebbe
The Kinus has multiple purposes.
Obviously, there is something special about physically coming into the Ohel and the Rebbe’s Room and 770 but Shluchim know the Rebbe can reached anywhere and at anytime, sometimes even more in a place you would least imagine 😉
The point is that the Rebbe will be in Eretz Yisroel becauseקהל גדול ישובו הנה
The whole point is that we’re in a new situation, so what was yesterday’s point can be examined. (in addition to that what the point of the kinnus was pre 3 tammuz, can also be examined for kinnussim after 3 tammuz). I think most shluchim are focused on that they all get together. Kinnus. Where? Today? (Last I checked the main event – the banquet – is anyway nowhere near 770 or the ohel) not so important.
Great idea, could be at Kfar Chabad, by the 770 there – the Rebbe is there too.
Time for the kinus to be held in Eretz Hakodesh!
Kinus in the mikdash hashlishi
YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Omein!
I’ve been to the Israeli banquet. It is as amazing as the one I’ve been to in NY.
Great idea – bring the International Kinus here 🇮🇱
Show you truly “stand with” and support eretz Yisrael.
One can go to the Ohel on the way, then truly show solidarity. By coming here for such a huge event you emotionally support your fellow shluchim, financially support the struggling economy here, and give chizuk to those fighting on the frontlines.
Interesting way to start the article
Also, what’s the difference between shluchim leaving eretz yisroel and shluchim leaving their makom hashlichus now?
Notice came after travel plans were made and tickets bought
