Rabbi Yossi and Rachel Jacobs, one of the Chabad Shluchim couples in Birmingham, England, were among the eight thousand guests at Her Majesty the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace this past Wednesday, May 29.
Rabbi Jacobs heads the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation – Singers Hill Synagogue.
The couple, invited in tribute of their work in the community, were honored to have been introduced to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
The Duchess took an interest in the work of the Shul in Birmingham and was excited to hear about the experiences of the Rebbetzin – a former Californian – in the UK.
Her royal highness was intrigued that Rachel had left her family back home to go on her mission, and inquired how often she got the opportunity to go back home.

Very, very proud to see this. Much nostalgia and nachas. From strength to strength Rabbi & Rebetzin!
Get your titles correct. HER MAJESTY, the Queen, NOT Her Royal Highness. It’s Princess Anne (with an E.) She is Her Royal Highness.
dearest harav yossi and the amazing rebetzen rochel. congratualtions on this wonderful honour bestowed upon you and the entire family. you are following great family traditions. rochael you look incredible just like your mother in law and yossi you look the double of your father inlaw. all our love from manchester

is that ms. moorvich from 7th grade??
yayyyyy you pull it off well
oophs! I stand corrected, sorry. i see Ms. Jacobs does have a yellow hat with a feather of sorts…it kind of blended into the background of the golden scroll work on the fence…sorry for my faux pas! what a zechus for them to so elegantly represent klal yisroel among royal high society!!!
probably it would have been proper portocol if Ms.shulcha wore a fancy feathered hat on top of her shaitel, like everyone else in the royal entourage; she would have fit right in, along with Princess ann, kate, beatrice, and of course her royal highness, the Queen!…
Rochel the pictures are stunning!
HOW COOL!
Rochel, you look great! Wonderful to hear of your accomplishments:)
Who’s party?Will & Kate ? Or Queen Elizabeth?
