In less than a week Crown Heights will gather in honor of Yud Aleph Nissan, where shluchim from war-torn cities in Ukraine will be saluted by a crowd of over 15,000.
In war-torn countries of Ukraine, Shluchim have been literally serving their communities from the front lines, providing spiritual and physical support from the moment the war between Russia and Ukraine began.
In a tribute to the bravery and dedication of these shluchim, two of them will be flown down to Crown Heights for a special presentation at next week’s Yud Aleph Nissan event—Rabbi Moshe Moscovitz from Kharkov and Rabbi Sholom Gottlieb from Nikolayev, our Rebbe’s own hometown.
On Sunday night, Tes Nissan, April 10, a night of inspiration like no other will take place on the streets of Eastern Parkway, directly in front of 770.
The Crown Heights community will gather to celebrate the Rebbe’s birthday with inspiration and meaning, including an address by keynote speaker Rabbi Dov Greenberg, as announced yesterday.
Now, a new feature of the program comes to light: the tribute to the shluchim from Ukraine. Two shluchim will be flown in from the program, giving the audience of over 15,000 anash, men, women, and children, a chance to salute their service.
“These shluchim represent everything a Chossid strives to be, and we are honored to have them as a part of the program,” says Meir Bukshin, one of the event’s donors.
The program will feature other major highlights that will continue to be released over the next few days, in anticipation of the Sunday event.
The Yud Aleph Nissan event is a joint effort of the CIG, Bais Shmuel – Chabad and Tzivos Hashem. COLlive.com is also a proud sponsor.
