Leading figures in the kosher world will be paying tribute to Rabbi Don Yoel Levy OBM, the renowned head of the OK kosher certification and Rov of Bais Eliezer Yitzchok Shul in Crown Heights, at a Shloshim memorial since his passing from coronavirus.
Under his leadership, the OK Kosher Certification has emerged as a trailblazer for the entire industry, establishing the standard for kosher in the United States, Europe and the Orient. He has led the development of OK in a new era of global economic growth, advances in technology, and soaring demand for kosher food worldwide.
He was also a renowned baal tzedaka, supporting many Jewish and Chabad causes around the world, among them many related to Chinuch of children, the Shluchim office, as well as the yearly food distribution for thousands of guests and residents every Tishrei in Crown Heights.
Speakers will include Rabbonim, family members, Kashrus industry colleagues and friends of Rabbi Levy.
The event will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time and will be aired on COLlive.com.
