The Kuperman family of Crown Heights hosted a memorial event Monday marking the Shloshim of Rabbi Chaim Aron Kuperman obm at the Lefferts Avenue shul where he served as Gabbai for many years.
Family, friends and many neighbors participated in the packed full shul for the gathering.
His son Rabbi Nota Kuperman made a siyum on Mishnayis followed by dvar Torah.
Rabbi Sholom Jacobson, long time Mashpiah, spoke about Rabbi Kuperman and his famous picture when he was a 15 year old boy posing in tefillin Shel Rosh which is printed in hundreds of thousands of siddurim. Rabbi Jacobson also related many nissim which took place in the recent Gaza conflict.
Rabbi Nissan Mangel was the main speaker which was followed by a video of the Rebbe and a chassidishe farbrengen.
