An event will be held in Baltimore, MD, on Wednesday evening, June 2, at 9 PM, to mark the Shloshim – 30 days since the passing of Efraim Gordon obm.
Efraim was brutally murdered last month on the doorstep of his family’s home in Baltimore, MD.
The event is being organized by the Vaad Harabonim of Baltimore, and will be attended by prominent Rabonim and the entire Baltimore Jewish community.
Speakers include Rabbi Moshe Heinemann of Agudas Yisroel Baltimore and director of the StarK, Rabbi Yaakov Hopfer, Chairman of the Vaad Harabonim in Baltimore, Rabbi Shmuel Kaplan, Head Shliach to the Maryland Region, Rabbi Elchonon Lisbon of Beis Lubavitch Baltimore, as well as a member of Efraim’s family.
The Shloshim event will also include a safety and security fair, where the community will be able to meet local officials to discuss safety concerns in the community.
A Sefer Torah will be started prior to the event, which will be completed on Efraim’s first Yahrtzeit. The celebration will take place at the very place where his life was so tragically taken.
Please be so kind as to take part in this very important Mitzva by donating towards Efraim’s Sefer Torah. https://www.light4efi.com/torah-scroll.html

Kudos to the entire Baltimore community for planning such a wonderful evening of achdus! To memorialize Efraim’s tragic, untimely death by the writing of a Sefer Torah imbues the shloshim with so much kedushah! May his neshamah have an aliya!!
