Shlomo Langer, a member of the Chabad community in the Ramat Aviv neighborhood in northwest Tel Aviv, Israel, passed away on Friday, 25 Tishrei 5782.
He was 49.
Langer graduated in economics and accounting from Tel Aviv University and was a certified public accountant. Since 1997, he has advised hundreds of businessmen, public companies and leading financial firms in Israel and abroad in the financial, managerial and technological fields.
He studied in the Chabad Yeshiva for baal teshuvas in Ramat Aviv, led by Rabbi Chaim Yosef Ginsburg. Langer bacome more observant in his Judaism and become part of the Chabad community there.
He authored a book titled “Luchot Cheirut,” which was a collection of short and witty essays that presented lessons from the weekly Parsha in Torah for secular readers. He quoted from both holy and secular sources and placed a photo of the Rebbe on its cover.

Friends described Langer as “a person of Torah and chessed who had a huge heart.”
He contracted Covid-19 late last year and has been sedated since Rosh Hashana. He passed away on Friday afternoon, shortly before Shabbos Parshas Breishis.
The funeral was held on Sunday.
