Chassidic Italian singer and Shliach Yossi Rodal, after releasing hits like “Nyet Nyet” and “Unspoken” with producer “iZZy D JaY” Yisroel Drihem, has released a very personal song, “Dry Tears,” detailing his journey with grief after the passing of his sister, Reizi Rodal z’l, 14 years ago.
After battling with cancer for six short months, Reizi, ten years old, passed away. Yossi was just twelve years old. To help translate the feelings he had trapped inside, Yossi began playing guitar and writing music.
“Dry Tears” explores the conversations we have with G-d when we feel someone has been taken from us too soon; when things happen that we can’t possibly understand.
“Dry Tears” is the culmination of 14 years of avoiding the burning question of WHY?. Time does not detract from our tears, it only dries them. This song expresses the journey Yossi still travels every day, he hopes that by sharing “Dry Tears” he can help others relate to their inner 12-year-old, and tell them that they are allowed to start healing.
This song is released in memory of Reizi Rodal z’l and in honor of the birth of Yossi’s baby girl, Reizi Rodal.
