California Rabbi Moishe Leider is searching for answers as to why the windows of his Chabad Jewish Center of University City in S. Diego, had been shot Sunday.
Bullet casings and three holes were found in the windows of the Chabad Center on Governor Drive on Sunday morning, Fox 5 San Diego reported.
Leider told the TV station he filed a police report claiming that the incident may have been a hate crime, but police haven’t offered any leads in the case.
No injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
The center which serves the La Jolla area is located in a building that once belonged to Bank of America, after the community had outgrown its previous location. It includes a spacious hall for prayer and social activities, a sizable upstairs area for offices, classrooms, kitchen and dining area.
