R’ Shimon Cohen, a resident of Crown Heights, passed away Tuesday, on leil Yom Kippur while saying the third round of Kol Nidrei.
He was 76.
He regularly davened in the main shul of 770 Eastern Parkway and has been ill in recent years.
He is survived by his wife Chavie Cohen, and their children R’ Yisroel Moshe Cohen – Crown Heights, R’ Shlomy Cohen – Sheepshead Bay, R’ Ari Cohen – Crown Heights, R’ Yosef Yitzchak Cohen – Melbourne, R’ Yudi Cohen – Crown Heights, R’ Avraham Chaim Cohen – Montreal, R’ Meir Cohen, Tiziri and Giti, all in Israel.
The levaya will be passing by 770 Eastern Parkway on Thursday 8:00 AM. He will be buried in Israel.
