Recently, the Shidduch House had the privilege of hosting Mrs. Devora Krasnianski, who led an inspiring and practical workshop designed exclusively for our girls, titled “Shidduchim: What to Say, Not Say, and How to Read Between the Lines.”
The session offered young women daters tools for navigating shidduchim with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
With warmth, clarity, and unmatched insight, Mrs. Krasnianski shared the tools and mindset needed to navigate the shidduch process with confidence. Drawing from her extensive experience guiding singles through Adai Ad, she addressed the emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of dating—offering real-life examples, grounded advice, and strategies the girls could immediately apply.
A central theme was the importance of sharing about yourself while making sure you’re truly seen and understood, and also creating a space where both people feel comfortable sharing and being heard. Mrs. Krasnianski emphasized how the two daters together set the tone for mutual openness — what questions to ask, how to follow up effectively, and how to turn conversations into meaningful opportunities to learn about each other.
It’s not enough to simply talk about yourself — part of successful dating is checking that the other person hears, understands, and accepts you. This gives you a chance to clarify, fill in gaps, and communicate more effectively. Mrs. Krasnianski shared practical strategies for how to do this — what to say, when, and how to pace the conversation.
When it comes to sharing private or sensitive information, Mrs. Krasnianski described the drip method — a thoughtful, paced approach to sharing. It allows you to communicate important aspects of yourself in a way that feels natural, respectful, and comfortable for both people.
The session also emphasized practicing difficult conversations. Rather than relying on a shadchan to mediate, Mrs. Krasnianski encouraged participants to engage directly with potential partners about uncomfortable or challenging topics. While a shadchan can serve as a helpful guide and provide tools or advice, the actual conversations are best had by the daters themselves. Using another go-between can take away the opportunity to see how you each handle conflict, communicate boundaries, and navigate tension — all important indicators of long-term compatibility and relationship success. Practical ways for handling these conversations were shared during the session.
Throughout, Mrs. Krasnianski emphasized the mindset behind these tools: approach dating with curiosity, honesty, and a focus on authentic communication. Conversations — even tricky ones — are opportunities to learn about yourself, your date, and the potential relationship.
Throughout the session, participants were encouraged to reflect on their own strengths, recognize healthy communication patterns, and understand what truly matters when building a long-term relationship. Mrs. Krasnianski emphasized self-awareness, authenticity, and the importance of entering dating with both clarity and calm. The session left participants with both perspective and practical tools, helping them feel more confident, intentional, and grounded as they navigate shidduchim.

I suppose this was not recorded in order to share with those who could not be there in person 😢
Would love to hear as well !
Where are the classes for guys on this topic???
They’re here! http://www.beyondbreadwinning.com.
Such important topics. We need to spread this information outside of just the shchuna. Lots of amazing girls in shiduchim not living in crown heights who need access to this information and shadchanim in general.
You asked for more classes and to be available to wider audience, so… I’m doing more classes online.

This topic will be addressed in the near future (after Chanukah) – open to all daters. (This will be webinar style, so other participants don’t see who is attending).
The recording of another recent online class – Mother’s Role in Shidduchim (part 1) is also available.
