The International Shidduch Group Network strengthened its reach across the globe with a Chanukah speaking tour in Israel earlier this month.
Elana Bergovoy, President of the worldwide network, led shidduch group meetings in Yerushalayim, Katamon and Beitar.
More than 40 women celebrated Chanukah on the third day of Chanukah at the Ohr Chaya Women’s Learning Institute in Yerushalayim with a day-long seminar where Bergovoy spoke on “The Recipe for Success with Shidduchim.” Shimonit Van Der Veen hosted a beautiful Chanukah farbrengen with the Katamon Shidduch Group on the fourth night of Chanukah.
The theme was “Connect for Shidduchim: 4 Ways We Connect to bring our Mazel.” The Beitar Shidduch Group had a Chanukah meeting at the home of Sara-Ester Varnai, with attendees traveling from Yerushalayim and Ramat bet Shemesh.
“The mission of the International Shidduch Group Network has taken on new and exciting significance since the newest Shidduch Groups – in Yerushalayim and Beitar – have opened for business,” Mrs. Bergovoy said. “More opportunities to make shidduchim are forthcoming!”
The International Shidduch Group Network is made up of local Shidduch Groups in different cities, connected by the leadership of Mrs. Bergovoy and vice president Dvora Schulman. Chapters meet on a regular basis to provide support, chizzuk and the opportunity to share profiles for singles.
The Network organizes regular international teleconferences with special guest speakers and time to share profiles with a larger audience. Annual conferences/shabbatons are held in Crown Heights. For a full list of chapters – which includes representation from six continents and over 40 cities – visit shidduchgroupnetwork.com.
On December 31st, the Network is raffling off a unique dime necklace in order to raise funds to continue educating, inspiring and launching new programs to help singles get to the chuppah.
The dime was donated by a sponsor in the merit of her own children’s shidduchim. She personally received it from the Rebbe. Each donation of $36 made to the International Shidduch Group Network will automatically be entered to win the necklace at the drawing on December 31st – join here.
“By connecting people around the globe, every single will get to the chuppah,” said Mrs. Bergovoy, encompassing the Network’s mission. “Because everybody knows somebody.”
