Mrs. Shevy Piekarski, a dedicated Shlucha in Bogota, Colombia for many years and a devoted mother, passed away on Tuesday, 15 Sivan, 5782.
She was 46.
For the past few years she battled a terrible illness.
Shevy was a devoted Shlucha alongside her husband, Rabbi Chanoch Piekerski.
Throughout her life, Shevy always went beyond the call of duty.
She made the chinuch of her children her utmost priority and never compromised on lower standards.
People would constantly seek her honest and caring advice for the most personal matters.
Shevy made it her mission to teach young kallahs the laws of taharas hamishpacha and helped them keep it properly.
Despite her illness, she continued to nourish her family and community physically and spiritually.
She will forever be cherished and missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Many around the world united in saying Tehillim in her merit.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Chanoch Piekarski and children, Mendel, Chaim, Chana, Shaina, Yossi, Shua and Peretz.
She is also survived by her siblings, Rochel Levy – Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rosa Cohen – Montreal, Canada, Eliyahu Swued – Crown Heights, and Naomi Heber – Crown Heights.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 1:30 PM and passing by 770 at 2:30 PM.

BDE. Can’t believe this devastating news…. Shevy was a dear classmate and friend since she joined our class in seventh grade Bais Rivkah on Church Ave. She had come from Mexico where her father was a Rov- to a new country, new language, new culture….for the sake of getting a proper chassidishe chinuch!! Her parent’s mesiras nefesh for the education of their children was real! Shevy was beloved by everyone. She excelled in her studies, had wonderful middos and was pleasant and fun to be with. Her quiet, soft spoken voice filled with wisdom and spunk will always remain with… Read more »

Beyond words
She was my first grade teacher at Bais Rivka. I remember going to her wedding. She was an incredible teacher and left an impact on me!
Such devastating news!! May Hashem send her family comfort.
A very aidel, easy going and comfortable girl to be with. We once went on a bus trip to Toronto together (before she was married) to a friend’s wedding. She was such lovely company for a long trip like that. Really shocking to see such news.
