Thousands of frum millennials grew up with the sights and sounds of Shazak videos and books: Queen of Persia, Out of Egypt, and Miracle lights.
Now, Rabbi Moshe Moscowitz—the creator, voice-technician, humorist, and designer behind the beloved series—has unveiled the fruits of years of painstaking research, writing, and recording: Shazak Parsha.
Using a blend of audio effects, thousands of custom-drawn illustrations, cutting-edge technology, and a good dose of humor, Shazak Parsha keeps children riveted as they listen, read, draw, and play their way through the weekly Torah portion.
“Shazak grew out of how I taught my first graders many years ago, as well as a sefer I wrote on the weekly Parsha, called Tzohar Lateiva,” says Rabbi Moscowitz, a longtime resident of Chicago. “It has since become an all-encompassing learning experience that children all over the world—and their parents—look forward to each week. Our team is continuously adding new features. And the secret to our success is the feedback we get from teachers, parents, and kids. They tell us what works for them, and we make it happen.”
An educator with years of classroom experience, and an early adopter of technology, Moscowitz is also an accomplished researcher and scholar, a published authority on Rambam and other historic figures in Jewish history.
Since its beta debut last year, Shazak Parsha has become a staple in classrooms all over the world. Recommended for students between the ages of 3 and 103, Shazak lives up to its tagline: Geared for Kids, Great for Adults.
Originally released as an app (for Android and iOS), the Shazak Parsha Experience has grown to include a home or classroom experience with audio and visuals, quizzers, online coloring sheets, insights, mock news reports, games, and just enough silliness to keep kids hooked.
“Our students have never had so much fun learning Parsha,” attests Rabbi Avrohom Wagshul, 1st-grade teacher at Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy in Beverly Hills, CA. “As soon as I turn on Shazak, the room goes quiet, and I know that we are in for a wholesome learning experience, peppered by lots of laughs.”

Some things in life don’t change – like a great Rebbi
Although Eisov was tricking his father, Yitzchak Avinu was never fulled by his son’s duplicity and tricks. It is clearly stated by the commentators that Eisav was tricking his father but they never said that Yitzchak was actually fooled by it. The Rebbe publicly told a rabbi to go with a minyan of jews to Chevron and ask forgiveness of our father Yitzchak for publicly stating that Yitzchak was C”V fooled by his son. This video clearly is making the same mistake. They should clearly say that Yitzchak was aware of his sons attempt to trick him but was not… Read more »
Thanks so much! I can add this as an insight… Where do we mention clearly that Yitzchak was fooled?
You clearly say that Eisov was fooling his father to think he was frum but it did not work on Rivka and she saw through the deception…
For more information about the above Kabalistic comment, please check out Likutey Tora for this Parsh and then (if you have the time) look over the Miteler Rebbe Toras Chayim for Parshas Toldos. These two books/maamorim and other books shed a beautiful light over this story. They show just How misguided is the common perception that Yitzchak Avinu was G”F fooled or that Rivkah Imeinu and Yaakoiv Avinu would trick and subvert the will of Yitzchak. The only one who was fooled … was… you guessed it… EISOV! The 3 Tzadikim were doing their Holy work, busy in bringing the… Read more »
