By COLlive reporter In the years since Shazak Parsha has launched, with video segments airing weekly on COLlive.com, it has revolutionized the way families and classrooms experience Parsha and holiday learning. With the release of Shazak Junior, which will be carried weekly on COLlive.com, the Shazak Revolution has now come to preschoolers as well. Each week’s offering comes in the form of a color-filled e-book. A narrator reads aloud, while the listeners click from page to page, each one with signature Shazak-style illustrations. The Shazak Junior format is adapted from the full Shazak Parsha, simplified and toned down for the younger set. “The end result is something that even toddlers can enjoy listening to, learning on their level, and clicking through the simplified page format,” says Rabbi Moshe Moscowitz, the creator, voice technician, and designer behind the beloved series. According to Rabbi Moscowitz, his team chose to go with a single narrator–as opposed to Shazak’s usual cast of voices–so that the experience would be calming and inviting, like hearing a book being read by a trusted family member. Although it was released just days ago, Shazak Junior has already picked up rave reviews. Writing from Dunajská Streda, Slovakia, Peter Feldmar attests that it is beloved by his children, who are not native English speakers, because “the Parsha is clearly and playfully explained. At the same time, they also learn English and Hebrew words.” “We just discovered Shazak Parsha Junior and we love it,” says C.
