The Sivan 5784 issue of COLlive Magazine is dedicated to the Yom Tov of Shavuos and the giving of the Torah.
The new issue has been mailed out to subscribers across the United States and will also available in Crown Heights stores.
The cover story, titled “From Rebel to Chossid,” features Yale Zimmerman, a leader in the anti-war protests during the Vietnam War who is now an active Lubavitcher in Chicago.
In a related article, Miami Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Leibel Shapiro recalls the draft crisis that threatened the yeshivos during the Vietnam War and how it was resolved.
Other stories include the tale of the Bethel Creamery in Upstate New York, the Crown Heights flower shop of Gil Hirsch opened at the Rebbe’s instruction, and Chani Greenbaum’s stunning table spread with contributions from various vendors.
