In the days leading up to Purim, Rabbi Schneur Oirechman of Chabad of Tallahassee visited the Florida State Capitol to share the spirit and message of the holiday with elected officials and community leaders.
During the visits, legislators, senators, representatives, and staff members were greeted with freshly prepared hamantaschen and the opportunity to hear about the meaning of Purim and the timeless story of the Megillah.
Rabbi Oirechman also met with hesds of various state agencies and offices throughout the Capitol complex, bringing the joy of Purim directly into the halls of government.
The warm receptions and meaningful conversations highlighted the strong relationship between the Jewish community and Florida’s public leaders.
Purim reminds us that even in challenging times, faith, unity, and moral courage can transform history. It was a privilege to share this powerful message—and a taste of Purim—with those who serve the people of Florida every day.
