COLlive.com was told Friday that the Rebbe’s private residence at 1304 President Street in Crown Heights will be open on Shabbos.
Men – Anash and bochurim – are invited to join Shabbos prayers at the house which served as the primary residence for the Rebbe and Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson OBM for decades.
The house is being open in honor of Chof Beis Shvat, the yahrzeit of the Rebbetzin.
Kabbolas Shabbos on Friday night will begin at 6pm. Mincha will begin after 1 pm on Shabbos day.
It would be inappropriate to comment on the incident of #1 -how he should have felt, how he should feel now, and what the bochur did, and whether he would do it now, or whether other bochurim would do it now. did you ever stop to think that if you didn’t get in it’s because you weren’t meant to get in? nothing happens by chance, everything is hashgacha protis. going into the rebbe’s house is not a simple matter the way most people are using it as a museum piece. how sad that number 4 needs the rebbe’s house as another tourist attraction of crown heights! how very very pathetic.
i really feelbad for you for that incident youre probably an important person and older than those troubled teens
the Rebbe davened at home on the first three Shabbosim until the shloshim!! (besides the week of the shiva which was Shabbos mevorchim).
It’s a really good idea… it sheds new holiness and light to Crown Heights.
That´s what a jew feels for anoyher Jew ?
You should knows that everything is Divine Providence and all for good.
Your true feelings is that you love him.
Good Shabbes and Moahiaj Now!
when did the Rebbe ever daven at home on shabbos???
After the rebbetzen yortzeit, the rebbe was davening at home,
my good friend was getting an aliya for his bar Mitzva at the Rebbe’s home, I made an effort to come and this bochur playing self appointed Vaad Hamesader would not allow me to come in, just because he was inside and able.
I will never forget, the smile on his ogly face.
Shame, real Shame, because of him my feelings for lubavitch bochrim change. he should be proud of his accomplishment.
