The parks dept.does not monitor these decaying trees,they just plant them.in fact I called them 6 weeks ago with a tree problem and am still waiting for them.they are responsible for it and should be held accountable.they are putting people’s lives at risk.

I had the same issue with the NYC parks dept.

I’m not sure that’s the case. The tree that fell on Carroll St is close to my home and I know it well, I often passed by. It appeared strong and sturdy up until last week, it had been around for many many years. I am personally saddened by losing this tree, it brought a lot of joy and connection to Hashem and nature for me.
