A thrilling and unforgettable event recently swept through Lubavitch Educational Center of Miami in Florida, as 7th-grade girls demonstrated their exceptional math skills in a series of exhilarating escape rooms.
Classrooms were completely transformed into heart-pounding, math-infused adventure zones that had parents and daughters racing against the clock to conquer various math challenges.
Parents and daughters joined forces in the Escape Room, solving math puzzles related to topics learned throughout the academic year.
The excitement reached fever pitch as parents and daughters united, working tirelessly through the challenges to reach the climactic final stage. The lucky ones who prevailed in the escape rooms earned the chance to pop balloons with a burst of energy, revealing a secret clue that led them to claim their hard-earned prize.
“The electrifying math escape room event not only gave the 7th-grade girls a sensational platform to flaunt their math prowess, but it also ignited a spirit of camaraderie and teamwork among parents and their children,” says Mrs. Tayar and Mrs. Klioner, the math teachers and organizers along with Mrs. Tzippy Dalfin, Principal of General Studies of Middle School Girls.
Following the exhilarating Escape Room adventure, the event transitioned into a Math Fair. Parents were treated to an array of exhibits, ranging from statistical analysis in sports to financial planning, architectural design, and even the mathematics behind music. Each project effectively connected mathematical concepts to their real-life applications, illuminating how math is an integral part of our daily routines.
The LEC Middle School community now eagerly anticipates more groundbreaking educational experiences in the future.
