Alaska US Senator Dan Sullivan invited the head Shliach of Alaska, Rabbi Yosef Greenberg, as his personal guest to join him for Israeli prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech in Congress.
Before the Prime Minister’s speech, Rabbi Greenberg met with Alaska US Senator Dan Sullivan as well as with Alaska US Senator Lisa Murkowski and presented them with the new book “To Make Peace” in English, encapsulating the Rebbe’s approach that the only way to enduring peace and true harmony is by standing firm against all pressures.
Rabbi Greenberg shared with the senators that he just presented the very same book to Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel Katz during his visit to the holy resting place of the Rebbe on Gimmel Tammuz two weeks ago, and that the minister responded that indeed, had Israeli leaders listened to the Rebbe’s words, they would not have reached the tragic situation of October 7.
Senator Sullivan, who attended and spoke at the recent Gimmel Tammuz event in Alaska, shared how moved he was by the keynote speaker, renowned professor Alan Dershowitz‘s statement that “the Rebbe foresaw it all.”
Both senators received a detailed briefing from Rabbi Greenberg on the Rebbe’s approach how to achieve peace in the Middle East and promised to find time to read the book and learn more about the Rebbe’s views on this critical topic.
