Senator Rick Scott announced Thursday that he plans to donate a month of his Senate salary to Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida, and has expressed support for Israel while doing so.
The Senator said he will be donating the funds to his “friend Rabbi Minkowicz from Chabad Lubavitch,” and noted that the Chabad Shliach “does great work supporting our ally Israel.”
Since the October 7th massacre in Israel on Simchas Torah, Rabbi Minkowicz has led a number of volunteer missions to Israel, visiting IDF soldiers, families of hostages, and victims of terror, bringing financial help and messages of strength and hope.

“These incredible men and women have been fighting for 321 days now to bring every hostage home, and we must do everything we can to support them,” the Senator said.
