YAD L’SHLIACH SENT SHLUCHIM $1MILLION
As of Lag B’omer, the organization Yad L’Shliach reached a milestone of sending $1000 gifts to 1000 Shluchim around the world. Today, Yad L’Shliach bravely sets out to begin raising its 2nd Million dollars to continue assisting struggling Shluchim with their personal financial needs.
Yad Lshliach would like to thank Anash and Shluchim who made contributions over the years, for their continued support. A very large thank-you to Crown Heights merchants who support the fund by scanning our signature “Yellow Cards” at the cash register.
Yad L’shliach is a unique fund established in memory of R’ Yaakov Moshe Hakohen Friedman A”H by his children.
In addition, Yad Lshliach recently released an Avraham Fried acapella CD in entitled “My Father’s Zemiros”. Now available in stores everywhere. The CD features many zemiros favored by R’ Yaakov Moshe which he would sing with his children around his shabbos table. Full proceeds go to support the shluchim.
Benny Friedman stopped by the Yad L’Shliach office for a fundraising brainstorming session with uncle and fund director Shlomo Friedman, and Moshe Kravitsky who recently joined the organization.

I check the mail everyday like every shliach does. It was a powerful sight to see a check $1000 from yad lshliach!! I called rabbi Shlomi Friedman And told him it came at the right time. He said “it’s always the right time!” And he is right. May more people fund the fund in order to support more shluchim who need it!! Thanks you shliach number 557
My husband and I were one of the first to get a check back in 200,,,,6, I think. Our second son was just born, and we needed money for all sorts of stuff. I remember when i got the call from my husabnd who was in town for the kinus. Shloime walked up to him and handed him an envelope with a check. just like that.

This organization is truly amazing
On Yud Alef Nissan my wife and I were faced with the reality that our expected salary from our shlichus was not coming. Totally overwhelmed (I had already sent out the checks), I wrote a short email to Rabbi Friedman asking for help. Incredibly, Yad L’Shliach’s check arrived Monday morning, EREV PESACH!! A deeply heartfelt THANK YOU. This was a tremendous help that saved our Pesach. Yasher koach!

My wife and I are fairly new shluchim in california. About 3-4 months ago, we had to pay out of pocket for medical bills that we didn’t anticipate. I wasn’t sure how to cover them, especially since both our families aren’t wealthy, amd we don’t have any real donors yet to turn to…From time to time, I read posts on the shluchdim exchange that YL sent out a check to just about any shliach who asks.
