The Chabad Shliach to Sderot Rabbi Moshe Ze’ev Pizem was hospitalized this morning after suffering a heart attack.
The family updated a little while ago that he is recovering, his condition is stable, and that he should be released to return to the holy service soon.
The families of the Shluchim in the city of Sderot, like the rest of the city’s residents, went through a hellish experience.
On the morning of Shabbat and Simchat Torah, the sights of the horror did not escape the city of Sderot: Terrorists broke into the city center in open vans armed from head to toe, shot everywhere, and took control while shooting and murdering on the central police station in the city, until its elimination and demolition of the entire station.
Rabbi Moshe Ze’ev Pizem and the Shluchim in the city under his command, immediately after the Shabbat and the holiday, set up a command center for locating missing people as well as distributing supplies and food to the city’s residents.
An additional unfortunate event took place at the beginning of the week, when an unknown person sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti on the front of the Chabad house at night.
The devastating reality is that every minute that Rabbi Pizem and his team were not in the kitchen or delivering food and supplies, they were officiating funerals for their many deceased community members and friends.
