Last year at the beginning of the pandemic, the Chabad Shluchim and the longest-serving Rabbi in Scotland, Rabbi Chaim and Sora Jacobs, were deprived of serving the community to the maximum.
“We are so happy to say that this year we are back in ‘top gear’ doing whatever we can to serve the community,” said Rabbi Chaim Jacobs.
The Shluchim have been distributing Pesach Haggadahs and Pesach Guides for adults and Pesach multi-color magazines for children.
“For the first time, we have been supplying a full range of cooked Pesach foods from a kosher caterer in Manchester, with numerous people ordering Pesach food,” says Rabbi Jacobs.
The Shluchim have been distributing Shemura Matza and made sure that numerous people have regular matza and grape juice which are kosher for Pesach.
They have also been supplying in strictest confidence Pesach foods for those in need in the community.
“Anyone needing help can be in touch. We will help people as much as we can with no pre-conditions or questions asked,” Rabbi Jacobs said. “At Lubavitch of Scotland, nobody is turned away.”
