Lubavitch Shul in the Park and Clarkston Shul enjoyed a Queens Diamond Jubilee Thanksgiving Shul Service led by Scotland’s only Scottish born Rabbi Mendel Jacobs and Martin Livingston.
Lubavitch of Scotland Director and Scotland’s senior Rabbi Chaim Jacobs led the Chief Rabbi’s Special Diamond Jubilee Prayer for the Queen and the Royal family.
Rabbi Mendel Jacobs read a prayer for the state of Israel and David Clapham read a prayer for the British armed forces. Norman Cohen read a prayer for the Israeli Soldiers. A special Royal toast was given by Dr. Steven Kayne.
Following the services, a special royal tea party was enjoyed by all in the Clarkston Shul Hall.
This was Scotland’s Jewish communities only Queens diamond jubilee celebration.
