A thundering “Gut Yom Tov!” was sounded – the voices some 400 c, as the “Father and Son Farbrengen” began on Thursday evening in 770.
In a joint initiative the local boys Mosdos endorsed and encouraged fathers to join a unique Farbrengen geared to Grades 4,5,6,7 – and utilize Yud Tes Kislev with their son’s in the most appropriate and heartwarming “Darchei HaChassidus” way – A chassidishe Farbrengin in the Rebbe’s Shul.
Musician Fitche Ben-Shimon opened the event with the traditional 19 Kislev Niggun of PAdah B’sholom.
R’ Moshie Goldstein -master story-teller and coordinator of Chayolei Beis Dovid in United Lubavitcher Yeshiva- brought to life the events proceeding the printing of the Tanya.
Then the Emcee Rabbi Menachem Yusewitz prepared the boys for something very special! all the boys were invited to listen to a recorded story from the Rebbe himself.
Then as the lights dimmed, all Tattys and sons sang along the Niggun hachana, followed by the holy Niggun of Daled Bavos composed by the Baal Hageula the Alter Rebbe.
Base commander at Tzivos Hashem R Menachem Cadaner recapped the story of this special day, and after some more Niggunim the event came to a close with raffles and prizes.
All left uplifted in Yom Tov spirits.
