Mrs. Sarah Chayempour, beloved mother and grandmother of a Chabad family, passed away on Thursday, 27 Av, 5781.
She was 86.
She was born in Iran, and was the daughter of the city’s Shochet who was killed weeks after her birth due to his Mesiras Nefesh for being outspoken about Kashrus matters.
After sending her 3 older children off at a young age to the USA for a better chinuch, She immigrated to the USA and settled in Passaic, New Jersey until recent years, when she moved to be with her son in Great Neck, NY.
She was a kind, loving and holy woman. She would read Tehilim all day and was very careful of her modesty. She loved her family, loved Yiddishkeit and was an amazing role model on how to connect to Hashem.
She is survived by her children, Aharon Chayempour – New Jersey, Moshe Chayempour – California, Yitzchak Chayempour – Great Neck, NY and Dovid Chayempour – Toronto.
The Levaya will take place today, Thursday, at 3 PM at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Expy, Flushing, NY 11367.
