Since the breakout of coronavirus and the state-ordered visitation ban, mothers laboring at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) relied on medical staff for support.
Dr. Ezra Dori, a Northwell Health physician who specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology, said that restriction has been lifted.
“Many people in Crown Heights have asked when Staten Island hospital will allow husband/labor coach in since they were recently barred due to the coronavirus outbreak,” he told COLlive.com.
In an email on Sunday night, Dr. Dori said: “They agreed to do that immediately.”
