As part of the ongoing teachers’ night kolel by Igud Hamelamdim, 150 mechanchim gathered for an uplifting farbrengen with Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin.
Reb Sholom Mordechai spoke about how to teach emunah and Bitachon so that they remain, not just a study, but a way of life. He highlighted the importance of “Geon Yakov,” the pride of Yiddishkeit and chassidishkeit, regardless of what others think. He drew from his experiences in prison and brought out practical lessons for the chinuch of our children.
Finally someone talking from a chassidish viewpoint! We have gotten so used to taking educational values from the wrong sources! What he says is so true!
Finally saying it like it is: Don’t ask “professionals” for advice, Rely on the power of the Geon yakov! Let children hear about higher then teva, becuase teva they know already.
