A barrage of 10-12 rockets was fired Friday from Gaza at Israel, with the Iron Dome system intercepting several of them, according to the IDF.
Five consecutive sirens went off at 10:23 pm, two sirens followed at 10:21, three alerts sounded at 10:38, and eight additional Code Red sirens blared at 11:22 pm across the southern city of Sderot, Kibbutz Gevim, Kibbutz Nir am, Kibbutz Mefalsim, Kibbutz Or HaNer, Kibbutz Erez, moshav Yakhini, and the village of Ibim.
A 14-year-old boy and a 50-year-old man were very lightly wounded while trying to find shelter as the Code Red Sirens went off.
They were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon.
One woman suffering from anxiety was treated in Sderot.
Earlier, Four Palestinians in their 20s were shot dead Friday during the weekly Hamas-led Gaza border riots, in which 16,000 Palestinians took part, hurling Molotov cocktails, hand grenades and stones at the security forces, and burning tires.
An Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter helicopters and aircraft attacked three Hamas post in northern Gaza.
The IDF said it had identified two border breaches. The infiltrators returned to the strip shortly after unharmed.
