Robert Avraham Gold of Newton, MA., a supporter of many Jewish causes, passed away Thursday night, the 29th of Adar II, 5779.
He was 92.
Avraham was active in Jewish causes, and served as President of Jewish Memorial Hospital in Boston for almost a decade.
He was renowned for his kindness, dignified manner and devotion to his family. He is descended from the Posner family and was in possession of the Posner family tree.
He was predeceased by his first wife Shaina Miriam Gold obm.
He is survived by his wife Marcia Gold, and his sons Michael Gold of Newton, MA., Peter Gold of Onset, MA., and Rabbi Eliezer Gold of Crown Heights, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held today at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, MA. at 2:45 p.m.
Eliezer Gold will sit shiva at 1455 Union Street in Crown Heights from Sunday afternoon.
