Brooklyn Assemblymembers Diana Richardson (WFP, D-Brooklyn) announced she’s joining Assemblymember Nick Perry (D-Brooklyn) in endorsing New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer for Mayor of New York City.
In addition to their endorsements, they announced they will be part of a “Brooklyn for Stringer” coalition, together with State Senators Julia Salazar and Brian Kavanagh and Assemblymembers Robert Carroll and Maritza Davila, that will organize voters throughout the borough.
Richardson serves the 43rd Assembly District in Brooklyn encompassing Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Wingate and East Flatbush. Assemblymember Perry represents the 58th Assembly District in Brooklyn encompassing East Flatbush, Canarsie, and Brownsville.
“New York City needs a mayor who leads by example and walks the walk,” Richardson said. “Scott Stringer doesn’t just talk about affordable housing, he fights for it and delivers. He doesn’t just tweet about criminal justice issues, he’s divested our pension dollars from the private prisons that fuel mass incarceration. He doesn’t just theorize about the suffering COVID has wrought, he’s lived it, and he has a plan to build New York back stronger. That’s the tenacity Comptroller Stringer will bring to City Hall — and he’s the fighter New Yorkers need standing up for them. With enthusiasm, I endorse Scott Stringer for mayor.”
Stringer, who is Jewish, previously served as a New York State Assemblyman and as Borough President of Manhattan. He has been a frequent visitor to the Jewish community in Crown Heights and keeps a close friendship with local activists and representatives.
He is one of more than a dozen candidates that have either declared to filed paperwork to succeed Mayor Bill de Blasio. in the Democratic primary on June 22, 2021. The general election will be on November 2, 2021.
Among those running are Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, entrepreneur and former 2020 U.S. presidential contender Andrew Yang, former US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan, NYC Sanitation Commissioner Kathryn Garcia, NYC Councilmember Carlos Menchaca, and de Blasio adviser Maya Wiley

Right! Let me run and vote because Diana Richardson endorsed him.
As a Yid & a ultra leftist, he will bend over backwards to appease the lest.
He will be VERY bad for the yidden of NYC.
Stringer’s Judaism is NOT why Richardson endorsed him.
I have read about Ms. Richardson and her policies. New York will decline further if her crony, Stringer, is elected. Bad for all New Yorkers….
This is exhibit ONE why every person who is registered as a republican in NYC should switch to be registered as a democrat. We need to be able to vote in the democrats primary to be sure crazy anti semites like Richardson @ AOC and their enablers like stringer are never elected!
