A group of Crown Heights residents showed their appreciation to the officers of the 77th Precinct, on the north side of the neighborhood, by sponsoring lunch on behalf of the community.
They delivered fresh pizza pies and Gombo’s doughnuts to the precinct on Tuesday, hand-delivered to the officers with smiles.
The lunch was sponsored by Chabad Air and Kamin Health Urgent Care, as well as local sponsors.
“During this time of tension in the city, our community wants to express our support and thank the officers of our local NYPD Precinct for their dedication to our residents’ safety,” organizers told COLlive.
The officers were very appreciative of the gesture, “especially during these difficult times. Many officers came over and thanked us,” they said.
“Thank you to Chabad Air and Kamin Health for the warm thoughts, we are truly grateful to have friends like you,” the officers said.

Go yossi rapp
And chabad air
Always doing good work for the crown heights community.
Finally people are using their heads
..and not that warped BLM March from Sunday.
Thank you to ALL our Police Officers who keep our Communities SAFE!
You guys are awesome! A real Kiddush Hashem! Blessings!
What an amazing kiddush hashem!
it doesn’t take much to drop a note of appreciation and support to our local police station.
Yasher Koach to Yossi Rapp and Yosef Hershkop!
Its not a contradiction to make kind gestures to the NYPD as well as our African American neighbors. I heard that our community recently gave out food to our neighbors on Eastern Pkwy which was a great move towards building good will. The Satmerer Chasidim and Rabbi Moshie Shapiro recently did something similar in Jersey City.
