Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) hosted a virtual Open House before Pesach for their new Teach for Lubavitch program for post seminary young women. Applications are due this Friday, May 3 – 25 Nisan, so aspiring teachers are encouraged to sign up at mymef.org/tfl.
The evening started with a thought-provoking Rebbe Video, illuminating the enduring impact of education on future generations. Rabbi Zalman Shneur, the Executive Director of MEF, emphasized the program’s dual promise: offering educators invaluable training opportunities while ensuring competitive compensation.
Morah Shana Tiechtel, the dedicated Program Director of Teach for Lubavitch, explained the necessity of equipping teachers with effective tools for classroom excellence. Mrs. Chanah Rose, alongside Mrs. Rivka Holzman, meticulously outlined the program’s structure and benefits, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the program.
Rabbi Levke Kaplan, the Menahel of Cheder Chabad of Monsey, expanded on the importance of utilizing individual talents in Chinuch, emphasizing the unique impact of the mitzvah of Chinuch as an all-encompassing 24/7 Mitzvah. Rabbi Mendel Levin, Menahel of Cheder Chabad of Philadelphia, further enriched the discussion by praising the energy and dedication of post-seminary graduates, emphasizing how the program channels their enthusiasm to bring out the best in the school.
Mrs. Chaya Matusof, Principal of Cheder Chabad of Florida, highlighted the invaluable mentoring offered by the program, cultivating skills essential across various professional domains. The session culminated in a dynamic Question and Answer segment, addressing inquiries from engaged participants who left feeling inspired and eager to embark on this educational journey.
