Director of Communications
JRNU is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Communications. The Director of Communications will be responsible for developing and executing various broad marketing and communication strategies. This supervisory position works closely with leadership staff while overseeing a communications team and interfacing with every JRNU department. The Director of Communications will implement a range of activities to expand JRNU’s community and increase the organization’s visibility. The ideal candidate should have superb oral and written communication skills and the ability to confidently and effectively craft a comprehensive media strategy. This is a remote position and full-time position
Director of Development
JRNU is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Development who will develop and supervise the organization’s multiple funding efforts. This individual will have the primary responsibility of identifying and delivering on key external alliances by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding philanthropic support from individuals, corporations, sister communities, and foundations. This person must have experience in, and a knack for, raising funds and generating growth in organizations. This person will oversee the division, strategy, and implementation of breaking ground on new revenue streams, including major gifts, grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. This person must possess a proven track record of success in major gift funding. Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional writing and communication, and the ability to motivate and lead a team are a must. This is a remote position and full-time position
Operations Manager
JRNU is in contact with many humanitarian organizations across the globe and is coordinating with them to deliver lifesaving supplies of food, clothing, and medicine to Ukrainians in need. The Operations Manager will be tasked with overseeing the transport and distribution of these supplies. Additionally, the Operations Manager will be responsible for streamlining and improving the services already offered by the JRNU and its affiliates. The ideal candidate should have incredible managerial skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage and coordinate logistics. Ideally, the candidate should be able to communicate effectively in Hebrew and Russian. The job may require travel.
Liaison to Chabad Communities
The global Chabad network is a powerful and tight-knit community. JRNU is seeking to leverage this network to provide further support and awareness for JRNU’s cause. The liaison will be responsible for setting up speaking engagements and tours in Chabad house communities, creating content that Shluchim can disseminate to raise awareness about JRNU, and spearheading a sister-city project with key Chabad communities. The community liaison must be a natural networker, a strong communicator, and capable of coordinating events. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Chabad movement both culturally and organizationally, and be well connected with key stakeholders.
All candidates should ideally:
Be comfortable working in an organization undergoing a rapid development phase
Be an independent and creative thinker who is a confident self-starter
Be familiar with the Chabad shluchim network and overall culture
The ability to speak Hebrew/ Russian/Ukrainian is a plus.
