A family on our makom hashlichus chose to come to us instead of Reform because the mom remembered attending Release Time as a young girl! A chosheveh rabbi at the one of the prominent orthodox organizations told me he became frum through release time.

His father, who was not too excited about release time, was nevertheless moved that the release time teacher walked all the way from crown heights to Bensonhurst to attend his bar mitzvah!
