In HaYom Yom the Rebbe brings two explanations to this Posuk…and the Rebbe’s mother brings three explanations…

The Rebbetzen Chana (memoirs chapter 36) is so human in her discussion of her anguish and worry- sharing intimate thoughts with complete openness, without shame in being herself. Her illumination on this verse is so important in our day- so many of us are flooded with concerns, fears, and general anxiety. Mishlei advises us to cast away worry which can lead to depression and futility (since we often have minimal control over things in our lives).
