The Jewish community of S. Denis, France, joined a special Chanukah event at the Ohr Menachem Chabad House, hosted by Shluchim Yisroel and Rivky Belinow.
The event, organized by the children of the Shluchim, Bassy and Chony Belinow, also marked the yartzeit of their grandfather, Rabbi Mordechai Belinow OBM.
Participants enjoyed a Latke cookoff, donuts, Menorah lighting and video presentation.
A highlight of the event was the reading of a letter of the Rebbe, translated into French, with the message of continuing to light the world until the coming of Moshiach, to background music of “Shine a Little Light” by Shliach Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz.
“The Rebbe’s letter was truly apropos for our Jewish community here in S. Denis,” Rivky Belinow said. “As we all try to add just a little bit of light in the turmoil that exists currently in our country.”
