COLlive.com presents Shabbos Night Live, a weekly web class with Torah thought, chassidic stories and timely inspiration.
Presented by Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Executive Director of the Central Lubavitch Youth Organization (Tzach Hamerkazis) and a long-time columnist and radio broadcaster.
This week’s program:
The similarity of the previous Rebbe during his “last years” to a Sefer Torah.
The timing of the Rebbe’s words, and the words that “were not said” that have a special meaning to us…
Weekly story: The Rebbe blessed a grandson of R’ Shlomo Besser by mentioning the leap-year.
I am hard of hearing but don’t have a problem with R’ Butman’s shiurim. If you can hear audio on other websites, just not here, the one thing I can think of that might help is that in addition to the computer’s volume control, these videos each have an INDIVIDUAL volume control — that’s what the little vertical lines under the picture just to the left of the “HD” are, hold down the left mouse button and swipe your mouse rightward through them and make sure they are all blue, i.e. none of them are gray.
Hope that helps. 🙂
I once attended a ladies’ shiur given by a well-known (non-Lubavitch) rebbetzin. There was not a single man in the room, but she also interpolated her remarks with “rabosai”! I think people say it out of habit.
If you could fix the sound we could appreciate what is being said. I turn my speaker on full blast and have trouble understanding what is being said. It’s been brought to your attention before, and it hasn’t improved. Hope you could fix it.
Why does he always say rabosiy? Are women also included?
I eretz they say gviroty vraboty.
